"Then I saw 'a new heaven and a new earth,' for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.'"

Questions for Small Groups
- Read Revelation 21-22. What stands out to you from this final vision?
- Revelation 21:1-3 parallels the Church (the bride of Christ) with the New Jerusalem and the new heavens and the new earth. Moreover, Revelation 21-22 uses imagery from both the temple (21:15-16, 22, 27) and garden (22:1-2). How does this vision of a world-wide garden-temple shape your understanding of the Church’s mission?
- The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 was discussed as the mission of the church. What are the main components of this mission? How do they relate to the Gospel message (that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead)?
