Music Therapy

My former Humber Music classmates Warren (bass) and Marlon (drums) joined me at the church on Saturday afternoons for jam sessions.  Here is our fun version of the Miles Davis classic Nardis. These moments were an opportunity to gather and play music together in the church building.  It was a life-giving way of getting through these challenging times by momentarily setting aside our troubles and focusing on the joy of playing together and experiencing healing power of music.  Sadly my good friend Warren passed away after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.  In his last days Warren spoke often about how these moments lifted his spirits and helped him through this final stage of his life.  I miss him.
